Matisse Background colours are an all-purpose acrylic that can be used on almost any surface. Ideal to use as a base colour for folk art and decorating our MDF craftwood products. When applied directly onto wood or canvases, the background colour will not only produce superb coverage leaving a great surface to paint on, it will also seal the surface with its built-in sealer. The paint spreads easily with a brush or a roller and can be applied directly from the jar. Dries fast to a matte-velvet finish.
