A clear, thick fluid medium primarily used to create thin, translucent glazes. Spreader Medium is usually mixed with Matisse colours in order to spread large volumes of colour over selected areas while maintaining a controlled viscosity. For this purpose, it is added to the colour until the required volume is attained. Inversely, colours may also be added to the Spreader Medium, in large or small increments, to increase transparency. It dries fairly "flat" and, when dry, is barely discernable.
